CHAMP (RESPONSE)

A sweet thanks to a sweet birthday wish. I wrote a poem titled CHAMP for my mamu as a birthday wish last year. I know it’s too late but yes I am sharing this today. He wrote this as a thank you note:

Dear Riya,

Thanks for the sweetest and the best gift ever,

Would have expected this never.

I hope I stay true to your words,

Like the air is to birds.

You have woven such a beautiful poetry,

My tears dropped on my cheeks in symmetry.

Thanks once again,

For bringing me smile and happiness through this phase of pain.

Take care, will write more soon,

Till then keep writing about sun and moon!
